JUNIOR TEAMS:
U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15/16
Open to both girls and boys, our Junior teams provide a first step into the world of club football, enabling all players to develop their talent and teamwork while having fun outdoors. Many of our junior players go on to play for our first teams, or at an even higher level. Supported by our volunteer FAW approved and enhanced DBS screened coaches, our training sessions to develop basic football skills and encourage teamwork are held on a Saturday Morning (Sept to April) at Hay Playing Fields.
Junior teams play mini tournaments, league and cup games most weeks against local clubs in the South Powys Junior League. The tournaments are great fun and give young players a taste of team football, with enjoyment and fair play the main aims.
We are happy to offer no-commitment ‘taster’ sessions to boys and girls thinking of joining. Please contact us for more information.
Please note that for safety and insurance purposes, all players, regardless of age must attend training in shin pads and football boots. Our coaches carry spare shin pads for loan if you want to try out but don’t have kit, but it is expected that you purchase your own kit when signing on.

HAY WOMEN + GIRLS
We are proud to have some fantastic girls playing competitive football in our Junior Teams.
We also offer a series of weekly girls only training sessions for all girls aged 7 -16, led by our own FAW accredited and enhanced DBS screened coaches. The sessions are fun, informal, and perfect for girls looking to take their first steps into football before progressing into playing competitively. Our girls have previously gone on to play in our senior women’s team as well as at higher levels, including our very own Isla Burrough who currently plays for Hereford FC!
Our women’s team play in the HFA League, and we are always open to new players.
Please contact us for a free taster session, or to discuss starting your daughter at Hay St Marys FC.
